Hollow form turned from Box Elder showing the natural beauty of the grain and red colouring of this unique wood.  Measures 260mm x 90mm.  Finished with spray lacquer.

This sculpture represents a new day rising, the centre piece represents Papatuanuku (Mother Earth) in green and Ranginui (Sky God) in blue.  Japanese cedar with Totara centre piece.  Paint is Jacquard lumbered acrylic.  770 mm tall x 350 mm wide.

A hollow form turned from box elder with a Beall buff finish. This piece has some natural inclusions that appeared during drying which I think add to it beauty. 189 mm x 150 mm.
