From a set of outside steps, for tens of decades this NZ kauri suffered many layers of lead paint and countless footsteps.  The split lines and naturally formed yellowing add character to the sweeping arcs of the carved rim.  287mm x 24mm.

Plum wood at its vibrant best. 260mm diameter x 80mm high. Finish is carnauba wax.

The marriage of driftwood washed on to a lonely Coromandel beach to iron forged at an early settler’s smithy at the same location.  Dimensions of wood 380 x 165 x 65.  Finished in epoxy resin and Danish oil.

The deep colour tones and dotted texturing evoke thoughts of wonderment and romance.  Wood type unknown, airbrushed with water-based dyes and oversprayed with lacquer.  256mm x 26mm.
